This winter, Noosa Regional Gallery will transform into a sweet, pastel wonderland for the anticipated return of IMAGINATE: a biennial exhibition event for children

IMAGINATE provides an exciting opportunity to be ‘in the moment’; to connect with others, immerse yourself in art, and enjoy the exhilarating process of making!

Step into the magical world of Sunshine Daydream, created by Australian artists, Pip and Pop!

Discover an enchanted dreamlike place; a land of vibrant plant life, swirling in a pastel rainbow! Sunshine Daydream is a place where art and nature collide, igniting the senses to spark your curiosity. This fantastical landscape is inspired by the beautiful flora found in our very own Noosa biosphere reserve.

Play

  • Dance, and become part of When Flowers Dream– a Pip & Pop interactive video!
  • Get ready to roll at the Poppin’ Pins Bowling Alley!

Create

  • Make a flower for display, create 3D paper sculptures, and construct colourful puppets at one of the many exciting creation stations!

About the Artist

Pip & Pop (Australian artist Tanya Schultz & her team) create immersive, colour-saturated installations from an eclectic array of materials including sugar, candy, pigments, modelling clay, artificial flora, crystals, beads, rhinestones, and everyday craft materials. Pip & Pop also create wall-works, videos, and 2D works that are similarly excessive, colourful, and joyfully optimistic.

Drawing inspiration from fictional geographies and paradise mythologies described in folktales, literature, and cinema; Pip & Pop artworks have been exhibited in galleries and museums all over the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Mexico, USA and the UAE.

Tickets are set for staggered entry to allow us to provide the best experience for your family, and limit waiting times during your visit.

  • Your time in the Gallery will not be limited
  • We recommend allowing approximately 1 hour for your visit
  • Should you be delayed and arrive after your ticketed time, this will not impact your entry
  • Last admission is one hour before closing time

Opening Event – saturday 15 june, 11am – 2pm

Join us for the official opening of Imaginate 2024! This will be an ArtPlay event featuring creative activities and outdoor games. Face painting, Cooloola Coaster Coffee, and an Ice Cream Van will be available for a small additional cost on the day.
