Noosa Regional Gallery is the leading public gallery on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Located on the picturesque Noosa River in Tewantin and just a short stroll from Noosa Marina restaurants and cafes and Tewantin’s main shopping precinct, Noosa Regional Gallery presents a diverse program of contemporary exhibitions featuring local, national and international artists, matched with a suite of public programs including artist talks, masterclasses and workshops for all ages.

Noosa Regional Gallery was established in 1981 and is one of the oldest regional galleries in Queensland. Less than two hours’ drive from Brisbane, the gallery is frequented by day trippers, tourists from across the Sunshine Coast as well as being a coveted cultural venue of the local creative community.

Noosa Regional Gallery is a public gallery operated under the auspices of Noosa Council.

Floating land

Noosa Regional Gallery is also responsible for the delivery of the internationally acclaimed biennial art and environment event, Floating Land. Conceived in 2001 as an outdoor sculptural program held every two years, Floating Land invites visitors to experience thoughtful, challenging and environmentally aware works that engage sensitively with Noosa’s special and spectacular natural environment.

By Ferry

Noosa Ferries depart from Hastings Street, Noosa and arrive at Noosa Marina in Tewantin, operating daily. The Gallery is a short stroll along the river path from the Marina. Visit Noosa Ferry website for more information.

Access

There is level access from the lower car park next to the Gallery. Accessible toilet facilities are also available.

Bike racks are available along the side of the Gallery next to the carpark.

Noosa Regional gallery boasts an impressive shop featuring a boutique selection of unique artisan products. From homewares, jewellery and accessories, to books, artworks and gift cards, many of the treasures found here are sourced and handmade by local designers and makers.
