- 2 x 6in (15.24cm) square of repurposed men’s suiting

Needles:

- Chenille #22

Embellishments:

- Fancy button

Basic sewing tools:

- Scissors, marking pens/pencils, pins etc.

Fabrics:

- Your own scrap fabric of many colours (cotton and linen only)

- Sewing threads

- Embroidery threads

Needles:

- Size 11 sewing needles

- Size 4 Embroidery needles

Basic sewing tools:

- Scissors, marking pens/pencils, pins etc.

Snippets & Embroidery Workshop with Jennifer Clouston

Sunday 23 February, 9.30am - 3pm. Bookings essential.

The perfect workshop for utilising all your tiny pieces of fabrics, lace and doilies. Jennifer encourages you to use your own fabric/embellishment stash, however kits will also be available to purchase on the day.

Class requirements:

Fabrics:

- 1 piece foundation fabric approximately 9’’ x 9’’

- A variety of fabric scraps in the colour of your choice. Try to accumulate fabrics with different textures eg, silk, linen, cotton, wool etc. It is best to use fabrics that are not highly patterned.

- Scraps of lace, felted wool, doilies etc

Needles:

- Chenille #22

- Milliners or Straw needles #3 and #9

Threads:

- Bring your stash, anything goes here!

- Assorted embroidery threads - stranded cottons (DMC), Perle #8, yarn, crochet cotton, silk ribbon.

Embellishments:

- All manner of bits and bobs including buttons, sequins, beads, lace motifs, tiny scraps of precious fabrics etc.

Basic sewing tools:

- Scissors, marking pens/pencils, pins etc.
