Oil Painting

Artist Lauren Jones will be running a unique ‘no-fuss’ oil painting workshop, giving teens the experience of the Alla Prima painting technique and its gestural mark-making qualities.
In this exciting workshop, participants will cover the basics of oil painting and colour mixing, and complete warm-up drawings and tonal exercises. Lauren will demonstrate her renowned painting process step by step, providing you with the skills to paint your own Alla Prima style painting on canvas to take home!
All materials provided, including artist-quality oil paints and a canvas 8x10inch.
Beginner-friendly! Suitable for those both with and without experience working with oil paints.
What to bring:
- a photo of a still life image that you’d like to paint (some also provided)

Decked Out: Design Your Own Signature Deck

Transform a blank skateboard deck into a bold, colourful masterpiece! Whether you’re into flames, flowers, funky patterns or wild creatures, this is your chance to design a deck that’s totally YOU!
Zoe will guide you through the process of creating a design and transferring it onto the skateboard. Use paint, paint markers and collage materials to bring your design to life. Take home your custom-painted deck for display.
*Skateboard decks are plywood art boards for display only and do not include wheels
Please note: Participants will be working with cutting blades; therefore, this workshop is a moderate-risk activity. Even under guidance, it is possible your child may injure themselves.
Participants will be working with a health-conscious water-based spray paint, and protective equipment will be provided.
