    MASTERPIECES IN MIXED MEDIA  

    Children’s workshop with Gallery Educator Lyndon Hallows

    For ages 6 -12 years 

    Wednesday 16 December 10.30 – 12pm

    $15 per child

    Numbers limited- bookings essential

    Play with ink, charcoal, pastels and water colour. Learn how to layer these materials and incorporate masking fluid in your work. Discover ways to create art that are out of the ordinary and harness your flair for the unpredictable. This workshop may get a little messy, so old clothes are recommended.

    TOWERS IN CHARCOAL  

    Children’s workshop with exhibiting artist Miriam Innes

    For ages 6 -12 years 

    Thursday 17 December 10 – 11.30am

    $20 per child

    Numbers limited- bookings essential

    In this workshop, exhibiting artist Miriam Innes will guide children in the creation of a charcoal drawing depicting the Noosa Beach lifesaving tower. The children will learn to work with powdered charcoal and to utilise erasers to create their drawing. This workshop may get a little messy, so old clothes are recommended.

    Kirigami Workshop

    Children’s workshop with exhibiting artist Elysha Rei

    For ages 6 -12 years 

    Friday 8 January 10.30am  – 12pm

    $20 per child

    Discover the Japanese folk art form of paper cutting, and create your very own snowflake ‘kirigami’ designs. Using scissors and traditional Japanese folding methods, participants will be create their own unique paper cut which can be used to create beautiful cards and decorations.

    Design an intricately detailed, imaginative building, then learn techniques to bring it to life with cardboard. Tour the work of artist Daniel Agdag and become inspired by his playful, fantastical realms of invention and imagination. Leave with a layered, sculptured masterpiece!

    MASKING FLUID UNMASKED

    Teen workshop with Gallery Educator Lyndon Hallows

    For ages 12 -18 years 

    Wednesday 16 December 1 – 3pm

    Build an artwork in layers learning how to work with masking fluid, ink, charcoal, pastels and water colour. Enjoy the process of combining different mediums to produce a unique work of art.

    CUTTING EDGE

    Teen workshop with exhibiting artist Elysha Rei

    An introductory workshop to the art-form of paper cutting and hand cut stencil making. Participants will get to learn essential safety, design and cutting techniques, and complete their own paper cut using a craft blade.
