Art Classes for Primary School Students in Grades 2-6.

Cost: $260 for an eight-week term, including all materials

A program for young artists to explore techniques working with clay! Start with the basics of hand-building and texture creation, then learn to form pinch pots, hanging decorations, birdhouses, and bowls, while learning about surface decoration and texture. Some creative play and experimentation, such as making crazy creatures, will be included each week to keep the classes dynamic. Perfect for budding creators of all skill levels.

  • Week 1: Introduction to clay – creating simple textures and forms with basic hand-building techniques pinch pots, hanging decorations. 
  • Week 2-3: Slab method – exploring different shapes, sizes, and textures to create sculptures such as a bird house  
  • Week 4-5: Functional ceramics – making small pieces such as bowls or plates, focusing on texture and surface decoration.
  • Week 6-7: Decorative clay projects – playing with textures and decorations adding to clay works.
  • Week 8: Finishing touches –painting and finishing their pieces from the term.

  • When purchasing your ticket, the Gallery absorbs all related booking fees.
  • Small class size ensures that each child will be given guidance catered to their needs
  • Parents not required to stay
  • Please remember to wear shoes
  • Old clothing is recommended

Refunded tickets

Refunds are available up until 48 hours before the date and time of the first class of the term to allow us time to fill the place. Refunds will include the ticket price less the Eventbrite fees (which consists of the payment processing fee and the service fee combined).
