Free art activities based on the current exhibition for children and families. 


APT9 Kids on Tour

Experience and explore contemporary art from QAGOMA’s ‘APT9: The 9th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art’ through APT9 Kids on Tour. Enjoy six interactive, artist designed projects including drawing, hands-on and multimedia activities. The projects highlight key themes from APT9 including the preciousness of life and natural resources, the importance of community and storytelling.

The Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art provides a program of touring exhibitions and related services to regional Queensland. APT9 Kids on Tour is proudly supported by the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation.

‘APT9 Kids on Tour’ was developed by the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art’s Children’s Art Centre and selected APT9 artists.

Tuesday to Friday, 10am-4pm

Saturday and Sunday, 10am-3pm.

Art Detective

Look closely at the exhibitions. Become a detective and see if you can find the items on the grid. Put a line through each box as you find the item. Then show the volunteer on duty for a top secret stamp of approval! Put your worksheet in the book to go in the draw to win a prize.
