Sewing Hope Donna Davis

Join artist Donna Davis, to create a community artwork that reflects on environmental optimism using the craft of sewing as your medium. 
These stitched fabric pieces will be joined to form a community artist book to be displayed at ‘The J Noosa’ during  ‘Floating Land’
Noosa Regional Gallery

Mangrove The Masterclass with Kim Schoenberger

Participants will create totemic sculptures using Kim's material of choice, the humble tea bag. Each participant will have the opportunity to engage with Kim's processes, praxis and aesthetic principles, while the more sophisticated outcomes will be considered for inclusion in the curated exhibition contributing to Floating Land 2017.

Go behind the scene of Council’s Resource and Recovery Centre, with access to council’s viewing platform.

Floating Land River Cruise
See the commissioned artworks, meet the creating artists and enjoy an evening of light refreshments and entertainment aboard the Noosa Cruiser.


Noosa Kayak Tour
Enjoy a relaxing guided kayak tour along the picturesque Noosa River and view the commissioned works from a truly unique angle. Departing from Noosa Kayak tour office.
25 & 27 September, 8-10.30am
Cost: $50 for adults $35 for children.
Bookings and prepayment essential. 


Manifesting your Continuum Effectum

Sitting on the shores of the Noosa River, make your own Continuum Effectum manifesting symbol. Symbolising the flow of life, the ancient triple spiral symbol of the triskele is revered for is manifesting powers. Choose to add your completed triskele to the waters of the Noosa River for the duration of Floating Land to “joosh it up” and collect it at the closing ceremony, or take it home on the day.
24 & 26 September, 10-11am
Cost: $10. Bookings and prepayment essential. 


Against the Tide Light Show has been cancelled 
Join us for a wonderful evening light show hosted by local artists Jim and Judy Barrass at their “Against the tide” installation (map location 12) Their beautiful stick houses will be illuminated to create a wonderous performance to excite senses and wow the audience.
